La Danza Nel Mondo offers a refresher course for ballet teachers, focusing on exploring various international techniques. The two-year course, divided into four two-day sessions per year, includes the study of Cuban, English, French, and Russian techniques, and in the second year, the study of American, Scala, and Danish techniques, with a focus on the floor barre and pointe work.

IBA in Milan aims to provide a comprehensive and comparative overview of dance styles, with the goal of enriching teachers' skills and broadening their perspective.

It is aimed at all teachers, former professional dancers, and dance enthusiasts.

 

The course is designed to allow teachers to:

Experience the specifics of French, Russian, Cuban, English, American, Danish, and Scala techniques.

Broaden perspectives:

Acquire a broader view of classical dance styles and their variations.

Enrich skills:

Improve teaching abilities through the study of different methodologies.

- English Method (Royal Ballet) November 22-23, 2025

With Paul Lewis, Upper School Teacher at the Royal Ballet School

- French Method (Paris Opera) March 14-15, 2026

With Nolwenn Daniel, Paris Opera Teacher

- Russian Method (Vaganova) April 25-26, 2026

With Bella Rackinskaia, former Professor at the Accademia della Scala and former Professor at the Vienna Academy

 

Second Year:

- Danish Method (Royal Danish)
- Italian Method (Teatro alla Scala)
- American Method (SAB)

- Floor Barre and Punta
- Floor Barre Kniassef Method

- 4-point Lynn Charles Method

Structure of the Classes
The course is divided into 2 days, as follows:

 

Saturday afternoon: approximately 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM

- Theory lesson and presentation of the School with its specifics,

- In-depth teaching and a focus on the technical specifics of each method.

- Lesson with students and a live pianist.

- Further insights and clarifications on the method and academic technique taught.

 

Sunday mornings from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm

- Lesson with teachers to better understand the various focuses of the school's technique

- Theory lesson with explanations and insights from the teacher

Costs:

FIRST YEAR: €1,400 by September 10, 2025

SECOND YEAR: €1,400 by September 10, 2026
Annual fees can be paid in three installments:

1st installment by October 10: €500

2nd installment by January 10: €400

3rd installment by April 10: €500

At the end of each session, a certificate of participation will be issued by IBA in Milan.

 

Registration:

Since the course has a limited number of places, we recommend confirming your participation as soon as possible by sending an email to beacarbone2@gmail.com and copy to ibapinmilan@gmail.com, including a copy of the bank transfer, CV, and teaching certification.

Registration for the course will begin on September 10th and will close as soon as the maximum number of participants admitted to the course is reached.

Once the minimum number of participants to launch the course is reached, we will inform all teachers and send a detailed information sheet.

As soon as we have the details for making the bank transfer, we will send you the information.

We ask all participants to complete the course for two consecutive years. Students cannot apply for a second year without completing the first.
